No expense was spared to make the Marquette Building rotunda the most impressive lobby in Chicago. This lecture explores the key players and events behind the 1895 Tiffany mosaic, which tells the story of the 17th-century French missionary explorer, Father Marquette.
Art historian and free-lance writer, Ruth D. Nelson, whose forthcoming book will examine Marquette, will present the first lecture of the Friends of Historic Second Church's 2010 Evening Lecture Series.
